Matt 15:8 “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”
Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
Philippians 1:7 “Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me.”
Psalm 103:8-10 “The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our sins.”
v. 25 There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Acts 15:28 says, “It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements…”
But, if you exchange the word “seems” for “feels”, it begins to make a bit more sense.
Diff between praying about something, getting advice and making your best guess vs. doing whatever feels right
Just because something “feels” right, doesn’t mean it’s the wisest thing to do. In fact, it may end in destruction.
Relationships. Large purchases. Investments and get-rich-quick schemes.
Matthew 7:13-14 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.”
There may be a clear, easy, wide, obvious path before you. You might get quite a thrill out of it and feel really alive, but there just may be hell to pay.
James 1:19-20 “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”
